The Mela day - Saturday 26th June
This will take place at Gang Warily with exhibitions and workshops on various dance styles and international entertainment. Refreshments will be available including (so far) Indian and Chinese food.

Local schools and other youth groups will be taking part to showcase what they can do. It is hoped to have a wide range of activities (although so far only Belly Dancers have been booked).

 

Tuesday June 29th there will be a Poems and Pints Evening at The Malt in South Street.

The Traditional Day - Saturday 3rd July
This will take place in Hythe and include Morris Dancers, Folk Dancers and other traditional styles of dance as well as music. There is likely to be a Heritage display. Children will be catered for with an event at Hythe library. It is expected the day will end with a concert of Folk Music on the Promenade.

 

Tuesday July 6th at ‘Hythe Cinema in the Parish Hall, West Street will be the sing-a-long film of Mama Mia (there will be an admission charge for this event).

 

Wednesday 7th July "Sounds Easy Summer Concert" at St Johns Church Hythe, includes a guest appearance by Solent Accordians. Ticket price £6.00 including refreshments.

Thursday 8th July in the Garden of The Grove in St John’s Street when Cavalier Jazzmen will present an open air concert – you will need to bring your own chairs. This free event is sponsored by Hythe & Dibden Parish Council and the sculptures made earlier in the Festial will be on display.

Community Day - Saturday 10th July

Local charities are invited to set up their stalls in Hythe village where there will be a wide range of activities to entertain people as they browse the various stalls. It is likely this will \also include a Community Art event. An Historical walk around Hythe which will bring to life local characters and events.

Fringe Events
These will include a 'Poems & Pints' evening, a 'sing-along' film evening, a Brass Band concert on Hythe Promenade and a concert in the garden of the Grove.
